MARK LEWIS, Managing Director
Mark Lewis co-leads MissionPoint's overall investment strategy and is a member of the investment committee. Prior to joining MissionPoint in 2007 Mark served as General Manager, Global Business Development for GE Energy, GE's largest industrial business with 2007 revenue of $22 billion. As global leader for the business development/M&A activities of GE Energy, Mark's responsibilities included originating, executing and integrating acquisitions and divestures as well as structuring and executing strategic alliances and JVs. During his tenure at GE Energy, Mark led a number of high-profile transactions that helped reshape GE’s energy business including the multi-billion dollar global alliance between the nuclear energy businesses of GE Energy and Hitachi, Ltd., the acquisition of Xin Hua Controls, a large Chinese manufacturer of plant controls, the acquisition of highly advanced uranium enrichment technology from Silex of Australia, as well as an investment in PrimeStar Solar, a solar technology company focused on thin-film technology. Additionally, Mark led a number of key strategic divestitures including the sale of GE Energy Rentals. Mark began his career with The First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse) where he held a number of senior positions in their Mergers and Acquisitions and Energy groups in New York and London. Mark earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA with Distinction in Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
